Dr. Sadeq Ali Quraishi, 45, is accused of paying $250 to what he thought was a 14-year-old girl for sex, but he was speaking with a Homeland Security undercover agent, the US Attorney for Massachusetts said. Quraishi was arrested with three other men caught in the same sting. They are:
- Dmitri McKenzie, 27, of Boston
- David Cannon, 59, of Lexington
- Misael Fabian Medina, 37
The men face sex trafficking charges, which carry a minimum of 10 years in prison if convicted.
“These arrests show that the sex trafficking of children is happening every day. There is a huge demand for this abusive, repugnant and criminal behavior. We need to dispel the myths about who actually commits this horrific crime," US Attorney Rachael S. Rollins said. "The perpetrators can be white-collar professionals who live in nice suburban neighborhoods. Many are married. All put their own sexual gratification over the trauma and harm inflicted on vulnerable, innocent child victims,”
